It has everything you can expect from more expensive hotel and cleverly balanced with minimum budget. Internet is free, bed is comfortable, the TV has got all digital channels, room & bed in clean condition. Breakfast is basic, but given the value it was adequate.
Not really, people give a bad review about shower, but it was ok and it is a form of energy saving.
staff were very friendly always happy to help always had a smile on there face and were always able to help with local imformation if required
the room was comfortable for a short stay, close to Barry and Cardiff and reasonably priced.
shower did not meet expectations
The bar and dinning area was very nice and so was the food. The bed was really comfortable and the room was nice. The hotel was so quiet even though there were many people staying there its really close to the airport and to the seaside. The staff were really pleasant and helpful.
The shower was slightly tempermental and the shower head would spin round if the water was on too fast
room was a good size
no cooked breakfast available and very very limited continental breakfast veriety and for the price paid for 2 nights beeter breakfast should have been included. will not return
We knew when we booked that it was budget accomomdation, with that in mind the room was quite spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable.
We knew it was near an airport and used for transfers, but there was alot of noise throughout the night, not just people leaving for flights but the staff were shouting back and forth each other while clearing up. the door closers did not work so that every time someone went through they were slamming. with no lift passengers going to flights had to bump their cases down every stair. we understand that this hotel is mainly used for being near the airport but you would think that they would have been more thoughtful of the level of noise.also there is an eleven oclock check out and the desk clerk was knocking on our door for us to leave dead on eleven oclock!!!!
wasn't too overcrowded and staff were very friendly and helpful
Was a bit noisy at night due to the heating system and the car park was a bit on the small side
not the ritz , but i didnt pay ritz prices...i would recommend this place to anyone , unless of course they are looking for luxury , clean efficient and friendly...i was delighted
It was geart value for money, have already booked to go again
Nothing fancy or amazing, just a large, clean room with helpful staff at a very affordable price.
For the price this was a perfect stop over. The attached indian restaurant was superb and the service was well above average. You would need to be petty to find complaint. Great for the airport.
The family room was a good size - we weren't on top of each other. The best surpise was that there wsa good indian reastaurant attached, which had a very relaxed atmosphere - just righ for a family with a 3 year old! Really excellent value for money and well placed for all we wanted to do (visit Cardiff, Barry Iisland and other attractions nearby). Didn't hear any 'planes at all.
The breakfast was very basic, but we still thought it was excelent value for money.
Breakfast available from 07:30 even on a Sunday.
Like most uk hotels, the "Continental" breakfast bears little relationship to that actually served in hotels across the channel. It was also a little meagre in comparison with other uk hotels of similar type.
The bed was comfortable, and the kettle in the room was quick to boil - a rare thing in hotels! The bedroom and bathroom were clean and had all the basic requirements for a budget hotel that we would expect.
We did advise that we would be bringing our 5 month baby with us, along with a travel cot. The room was a bit small and we could only just fit the cot in the room! There was a draught coming through the window, which seemed to be due to an ill-fitting window. The extract fan in the bathroom didn't work. We couldn't turn on the main light in the bedroom (possibly the light bulb needs to be changed?). None of these are complaints, but pointers for improvements.
The hotel was clean and quiet, even though it was next door to the airport. The facilities in the room were adequate. The continental breakfasts were excellent. The restaurant food was also good.
There was nothing to dislike about the hotel, remembering that it was really an overnight stop for the airport or shopping trip.
